Download Wince license and ROM
1. visit http://www.smartdevices.com.cn/search/
2. enter serial-number on “产品编号” , and identifying code on “验证码”
3.click “授权文件下载” to download.
4.download wince firmware
5. put license ,boot folder, LBE folder into sd card.
Do not use others license! one serial-number match one license
Use Microsoft ActiveSync to sync with PC

I just got an email that indicated if I downloaded the Chinese version of WindowsCE using my serial number, I would not be allowed to download the English version when it comes out. I currently don’t get much use out of the device and wold love to try it out but I don’t want to be stuck with a Chinese OS. Bummer. Enjoy! I am eager to know how it is working for you…
it’s a pity , i will use wince, i can’t stand any longer with slow linux
How is it? Does it run a lot faster than v.4?

much faster then v4.0 , but it is simple ,there is few software for wince .

hi
i often use wince to play game and watch movie .the os is much faster than linux , but there is less software for wince , you have to download software for PPC and try if it works on it .
there are LBE and TCPMP inside , LBE is for games and TCPMP is for videos. it does support more game and video than linux.
my wifi is broken , so i can;t test it . but it’s said so many people can’t access to wifi connection ,hope they will fix it in the future.

Do you know if they have said when the English version of WinCE will be released for the Q7?
Why do you link the USB driver in the story but then you don’t have the link readily available to download? You have to register for the board. Can’t you just link the driver so people can get it? I can’t find it anywhere.

How to use Wince USB Driver?
1. I just plugged smartq5 to my PC and nothing happens. I thought some driver message or something.
2. I downloaded WinCE (～18Mb). I want to run WinCe from SD card is it possible?
USB Driver is for wince system , when you’re using wince and connect Q5 to pc , it will notice you to install usb driver.
What is the Identifing code you write in 验证码?
Is it something you get in email after you register?
Because I’ve registered today on the forum, when will I receive my code?

no, just like when you register in some forum , you need enter Identifing code. you will not receive it , you need check by yourself online

I have the same problem as Zavandor. I’ve bought SmartQ5 through dealextreme and have no idea how to download WinCe license. Unfortunately I cannot submit this google form because I cannot read Chinese.
Could you please explain me how could I get WinCe license for my SmartQ5?
